HydraFacial - How does the treatment work?

HydraFacial - Sponge Analogy

Only HydraFacial uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate. HydraFacial super serums are made with nourishing ingredients that create an instantly gratifying glow:

  1. Detox

Begin with Lymphatic drainage that improves circulation of the lymph system and helps to eliminate toxins.

  2. Cleanse + Peel

Uncover a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing.

  3. Extract + Hydrate

Remove debris from pores with painless suction. Nourish with intense moisturisers that quench skin.

  4. Fuse + Protect

Saturate the skin’s surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximise your glow.

  5. Rejuvenation

Finish with red and infrared LED light to reduce redness and further stimulate collagen, supporting the natural production of vitamin D.

WHAT SETS HYDRAFACIAL APART FROM OTHER HYDRADERMABRASION PROCEDURES?

its-glow-time-gif-07.png

HydraFacial uses a unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin, and, the spiral design delivers painless extractions. The spiral design of HydroPeel® Tips, used in conjunction with the HydraFacial proprietary vacuum technology and serums, creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities while simultaneously delivering hydrating skin solutions. See our blog on HydraFracial versus Microdermabrasion.

HydraFacial uses advanced, patented vortex technology to deeply cleanse the skin and effectively deliver botanical ingredients containing nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, horse chestnut seed extract, red algae extract, zinc and magnesium peptides. HydraFacial also delivers powerful antioxidants to counteract damage from free radicals such as pollution, sun exposure and stress which can accelerate the ageing process. At Elanamie Clinic we are especially excited that HydraFacial have teamed up with ZO Skin Health to offer unique boosters for out patients. A match made in heaven as far as we are concerned. See here for more information.

HOW MANY HYDRAFACIAL TREATMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?

lifestyle-image-22.png

HydraFacial can be used as a 'one off' treatment before a big event, but in order to achieve the best possible results, we recommend a course of treatments to address more serious concerns. For patients looking to maintain a great complexion opt for a 6-12 month course, to ensure skin stays in peak condition all year round. Ask us about packages if you are interested in a long term program.

The Gunk & Glow

Elanamie Gunkie 1.jpg

It’s gross but face it, it’s great! Every time you have a HydraFacial, you can see the good it’s done by looking at the ‘gunk’ that’s come out of your skin, collected in the waste tank. It’s one of the most unusual and fascinating aspects of the treatment.

It really is surprising what our skin holds and although it may be a little icky, it's also oddly satisfying, right?! Our patients always like to see a visible response on their skin after treatment, whether that is erythema from stimulating collagen or fresh 'glowy' skin post peel procedures. However, with the Hydrafacial there is zero downtime just radiant, gunk-free skin! What is the Gunk? This is what is collected in the waste tank from performing all 6 aspects of the HydraFacial. All the serums and active ingredients we apply to the skin are clear, therefore any thing that comes through the pipe into the waste tank, is purely what is coming out of your skin. The 'gunk' that Emma extracts during treatment is dead skin cells, blackheads, sebum, dirt and debris that have built up and leave the skin looking dull and lax. Satisfied patients worldwide are even posting their #Gunkie-tagged photos on Instagram. Check out our post #Maskne gunkie on the left.
